NYS Department of Health - WIC

The Project Management Workgroup hosted their quarterly Project Spotlight highlighting the "NYS Department of Health - WIC" on February 28, 2018 at the NYS Forum office in Albany.

New York State WIC (The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children) is embarking on a project to replace its existing statewide Management Information System (MIS) and benefit issuance tool with a new, automated web-based system, called "NYWIC", which will enable WIC participants to redeem food benefits using a eWIC card replacing the current paper check method.

A panel of 4 experts: Mary Carroll, Assistant Bureau Director, Bureau of Supplemental Food Programs, NYS Department of Health; Timothy Schmehl, NYWIC Project Manager, NYSTEC Principal Consultant; Bob Rusiecki, NYWIC Project Management & Quality Management Specialist, NYSTEC Senior Consultant; and Cassandra Bixler, NYWIC Training & Communications Specialist, NYSTEC Senior Consultant.
