Citywide Payments & Receivables Services
In the fifth event of a series focusing on recognizing and building a "Culture of Innovation" in NYC government; The NYC Innovation & Emerging Technologies Workgroup hosted an audience of roughly 50 attendees (in person and on web) at the NYC Department of Law.
The fifth event highlighted the innovative and unique manner in which NYC Department of Finance has developed the Citywide Payments & Receivable Services (CPRS) program. The presentation included an overview of the challenges and business drivers that led to the CPRS project, the development actions and a review of the benefits to the City. Presenters featured during this event were David M. Spier, Director, Citywide Payments & Receivables Project Finance Information Technology, NYC Department of Finance and Jackie Kane, Senior Director, Strategic Planning & Communications Citywide Payments & Receivable Services, NYC Department of Finance.
Following the presentation, there was an active and dynamic Q&A/Open Discussion session where the audience joined in to discuss the efforts in implementing this technology to the city.
