The NYS Forum host NYC Workgroup Kickoff Meetings
New York City Government and the NYS Forum IT Corporate Round Table (ITCR) members met October 7 and 8, 2015 at the Metro Tech Center in Brooklyn, NY for the NYC Workgroup kickoff meetings. The attendees engaged in a stimulating dialogue on the subjects they are interested in developing through knowledge share, exploration, and learning.
The NYS Forum Workgroups are for the purpose of bringing together both inter and intra agency staff to focus on areas of interest important to technology in the government community. Enterprise leaning, knowledge share, communities of practice and subject matter expertise presentations are examples of workgroup activities. Workgroup subject areas addressed in the October meetings were Project Management, Security, Emerging Technologies, Business Continuity, IT Procurement and Business Analysis. Additional subject areas are under consideration.
Over 15 of the NYC agencies and 10 of the ITCR members were in attendance. A few examples of the NYC agencies were Education, Law, DoITT, HRA, DCAS, HPD, DOT and the CTO.
