On Thursday, September 24, The NYS Forum hosted its 29th Annual Meeting, at the Radisson Hotel in Albany, NY. The Forum welcomed over 200 government and corporate partners to the event. New York State and New York City is going through an IT transformation, the details of which are of great interest to all of the attendees. With the many historic changes undergoing, Maggie Miller, New York State''s Chief Information Officer and Anne Roest, New York City''s Chief Information Officer highlighted their accomplishments as well as where they will be taking us in the near future.
Otto Berkes, cofounder of Xbox, as well as one of the creative minds behind HBO GO presented the keynote address, "The Art of the Possible". Mr. Berkes Presented a fascinating look at customer behavior, customer expectations in the next 5 years, and how preparation has begun to meet those expectations.
The event became interactive with audience participation. There was strong dialogue and great talking points that contributed to how valuable the event was. The event concluded with an active and dynamic Q & A session where Mr. Berkes provided answers and more information to any questions presented by the audience.
Finally, Work group co-chairs provided a report out of their past year accomplishments and what they are currently planning for the upcoming FY 2015-16 year.
