The NYS Forum NYC Project Management Workgroup is soliciting presentation submissions to be considered for the session topic of Organizational Change Management

Organizational Change Management (OCM) and Project Management

The objective of this session is to inform and educate the Project Management community on the benefits of integrating OCM methodology and techniques into project plans. Project success is heavily influenced by the acceptance of the organizational and process-related changes of a new initiative.

How can a project manager incorporate OCM techniques into project planning and execution?

Target Audience: The audience will include Government Project Managers, Project Management / Portfolio Managers / Directors, technology and business staff.

Format: 90 minute Session - Multiple presenters with educational content on the topic and a facilitated discussion period.

Presentation topics may include the following suggested examples: We encourage you to suggest other topics for consideration that may be relevant.

  • Overview of the OCM framework and OCM techniques
  • Project case studies with OCM integration
  • The challenges of Change Management in Government and how to mitigate
  • Examples of methodology may include:
    • Principles and practices of Prosci ADKAR Methodology
    • Principles and practices of Kotter's Methodology

All presentations must be vendor neutral. Presentation content will be vetted by members of The NYS Forum Work Groups hosting this event. Feedback and recommendations regarding final presentation material will be provided by this group.


Presentation Guidelines - Rules of Engagement

  • Presentation must be made using The NYS Forum's Power Point template.
  • Presenter corporate logo and contact information should appear on the first and last Power Point slides only. Corporate logo must not appear on each individual slide.
  • The presenter must discuss the topic at an expert level, and direct the presentation toward the specific targeted audience identified.


  • 5/3/2018 - Call for presenters distributed to vendor community.
  • 5/22/2018 - Deadline for proposals from vendors.
  • 5/25/2018- Selection/notification of presenters
  • 6/8/2018 - Deadline for first draft of presenter Power Points and related PLEASE NOTE: All PowerPoint presentations MUST be made on The NYS Forum PowerPoint template which will be provided by the workgroup member coordinating this event.
  • 6/15/2018 - Deadline for final presentation Power Points and related documents (1 week prior to event date). PLEASE NOTE: All Power Point presentations MUST be made on The NYS Forum Power Point template which will be provided by the workgroup member coordinating this event.
  • 6/19/2018 - Event Date.

As presentations are selected, presenters and/or their contacts will be notified to discuss an appropriate date, time and place for the presentation. The full schedule, as it pertains to draft and final Power Point presentation due dates, will be determined and provided accordingly to the event date.
